What is a Baptist?

Baptists are "Bible folks."  The Bible is the sole authority in our lives.  We are an independent church, connected to a much larger convention that seeks to see the world reached the Good News of Jesus Christ.  We believe that all people who have surrendered their lives to Christ have equal and immediate access to God through prayer and the Scriptures.  We believe in a biblical tithe, keeping 90% of all that God gives us while joyfully returning 10% of what God gives us to further His work in our midst.  We believe that those who are baptized are to be fully immersed, as a sign of obedience to Christ as Lord.  We believe that once a person comes to faith in Christ, their salvation is secured--forever!  Finally, Baptists are evangelistic: we want others to know about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Want to know more about what we believe?  What We Believe

Do you know if Heaven will be your forever home?

First, realize that God loves you.
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Second, realize that everyone is a sinner.
Sin is anything that we do that is contrary to God's will.  We all choose to disobey God, and this sin separates us from God (Romans 3:23).

Third, realize that sin has a price that must be paid.
Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Fourth, realize that Jesus Christ died to pay your price.
Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the grave three days later.  Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Finally, respond to Jesus.
Believe in your heart that Jesus alone saves you through what He's already done on the cross.  Repent, turning away from yourself and your sin and turning towards Jesus.

Tell God and others that your faith is in Jesus!
