Young Adults

The SRBC Young Adult Group (ages 18-33) exists to see college students and young adults come to knowledge of Christ and fulfill the Great Commission by obeying Christ's commands and teaching others to do the same.  This is accomplished through weekly bible study meetings, as well as activities and missions opportunities.

On Wednesdays, we meet off site (contact Pastor Joey for more details).  We meet at 7:00 PM and fellowship, study the Scriptures, and pray together until 9:30 PM.  On Sundays, at 9:30 AM, we meet behind the sanctuary stage in Room 102 (Go through the door on the left side of the front of the sanctuary, and go down the hallway: the classroom is on the left).  Pastor Tim leads the 9:30 AM class.

College is a very formative time in a person's life.  Often, students make decisions in college that affect the overall trajectory of their lives.  While technology has certainly helped this, many students make these decisions away from their homes and families.  This leaves the church with a great opportunity to come alongside these students and love on them, pointing them to Jesus!  One way South Reno Baptist Church accomplishes this is through our Student Adoption Program (SAP).  We want our people to be able to provide a "home away from home" for students that desire just that.  While students are on their own for possibly the very first time, you can be there to encourage or simply for a home-cooked meal!  If you're interested in more information on this program, click here!

"When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like a sheep without a shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Matthew 10:37-38, NIV.
